"Therapy should be a place where you can exhale."

Meet Clark Sun (he/they)

A space for those who have spent their lives showing up for others.

I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist with Peace Love Wellness offering trauma-informed, relational therapy for adults in New York. I work with individuals who are exploring identity, healing from emotional pain, and learning how to feel more at home in themselves, their bodies, and their relationships.

My path into this work is shaped by both lived experience and professional training. Having spent my early childhood in a predominantly Black community before being adopted into an Asian-identifying family, and also growing up gay, I developed an early understanding of how complex identity, culture, race, sexuality, family, and belonging can be.

These experiences continue to inform my deep respect for clients navigating identity development, community belonging, emotional adaptation, and the search for a more self-defined life.

My goal is not to "fix" you.

Therapy with me is intentional, collaborative, and grounded. It is not passive, and it is not surface-level.

I offer therapy for people who want more than coping skills alone—people who are seeking deeper healing, stronger emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and a more authentic relationship with themselves.

Together, we work toward:

  • Feeling more grounded and emotionally regulated
  • Developing clarity around identity, values, and needs
  • Building confidence in relationships and boundaries
  • Cultivating self-compassion without losing accountability
  • Creating a life that feels intentional, connected, and authentic

My Approach

Evidence-based practices integrated with creative & embodied approaches.

I believe transparency is essential in the therapeutic relationship. While no space can be guaranteed to feel completely safe at all times, I am committed to creating a brave and supportive space—one where emotional risk-taking is honored, curiosity is encouraged, and moments of discomfort are met with care rather than judgment.

What is Drama Therapy?

As a graduate of NYU Steinhardt in Drama Therapy, I use creativity as a clinically grounded and intentional therapeutic tool. It is an active and experiential approach that integrates drama, art, music, movement, poetry, and storytelling.

Through metaphor, role, movement, and narrative, clients are able to access emotion, insight, and self-understanding in ways that feel embodied, expressive, and deeply human—opening pathways that traditional talk therapy alone may not reach.

"All creative interventions are grounded in clinical intention, structure, and therapeutic goals, never performance, and never 'just expressive.' Guided by your comfort level and readiness."
